The pile is in the Seaport district in Boston. It's a black pile of debris filled with bicycles and rubbish and it's going to be around for a while.

Last winter, Boston residents put out their trash, and then two snowstorms followed, and much of the garbage got plowed up and deposited in the pile.

According to a Boston Public Works official, it's more vile and disgusting than one might imagine.

Some of the items that have been pullled from the pile include parking meters, bicycles, even fire hydrants.

But it's the rotting trash that is making up most of the pile, and officials believe it could be until early July before all the snow is gone.

Anyone care for a Mr. Frosty?
