I really enjoyed this article on iconic restaurants and left no stone (or State) unturned and was excited that I've been to a couple of these places. However, I've never even heard of New Hampshire's most iconic restaurant with all apologies to this fine establishment.

So I must throw my two cents in and vote for Tilt'n Diner. Delicious, inexpensive food in a fun, family style atmosphere AND it's about as centrally located as NH geography will allow. If there is one drawback, every four years it is loaded with C-Span cameras and politicians during Primary season.

I'm know why the fine folks at Thrillist.com did NOT select my favorite. If you read all the New England states, you'll see The Common Man is the most iconic restaurant in Vermont. Tilt'n Diner is within The Common Man stable of restaurants. An embarrassment of riches... it just wouldn't be fair!
