There is no more mysterious and haunting face in all of nature than that of The Great Gray Owl. One has taken up a temporary residence in a NH town and the pictures of it have been stunning.

This fine feathered friend can be found west of Newport, NH along the Sugar River Recreational trail. The best time to find it is in the late afternoon and apparently all you need to do to locate it is look in the direction of the many photographer's lenses.

The BEST photos I've seen of this creature are from a gentleman by the name of Jim Block. They will leave you shouting 'Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo took such beautiful photos? Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?'
