New Hampshire State Trooper Christopher Cummings went above and beyond to save this owl's life after it crashed into his car while he was off-duty.

Have you ever seen an owl so happy to be snuggled up in a blanket before?

This bird was saved by New Hampshire State Trooper Christopher Cummings after it struck the side of his car while he was off-duty on Saturday. Cummings and his wife put their shopping trip to the Merrimack Preumium Outlets on pause in order to get the little owl to the Capital Area Veterinary Services in Concord.

The owl recovered with only an eye injury and is set to be released in Merrimack by Wings Wildlife Rehabilitation. I'm sure it will never forget the hero who went the extra mile to help him.
