It's not the first time Connecticut has seen an over-the-top Halloween display involving current political issues.

What happened to the days of jack-o-lanterns and fake cobwebs? No kid (or adult for that matter) wants one of the most fun days of the year to be about politics. Just hand out some candy, maybe have a fake body stuffed with leaves on your porch, and call it a day.

Not Matt Warshauer though. He fancies himself the best Halloween decorator in the world. He wants people to "think" about current issues, usually involving politics. Last year the Connecticut State University professor developed a Vietnam war display right out of Apocalypse Now.

He wants people to think? OK here's what I think: what a tremendous waste of money that could be spent on endless bags of peanut butter cups.
