November 23, 1964:
The Rolling Stones were banned by the BBC for showing up late for two radio shows.
November 24, 1991:
Freddie Mercury died of complications from aids at his home, just one day after publicly admitting he was HIV positive. He was 45.
November 25, 1976:
The Band made their final performance; 'The Last Waltz' held Thanksgiving Day, at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The show also featured Joni Mitchell, Dr John, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Eric Clapton, and others. The event was filmed by director Martin Scorsese and made into a documentary of the same name, released in 1978.
November 26, 1968:
Cream played their farewell concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London. The concert was filmed and released as Cream's Farewell Concert.
November 27, 1970:
George Harrison released 'All Things Must Pass'. The triple album included a number of songs that were left over from Beatle recording sessions, the album be certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA, making it the best selling Beatle solo album.
