Feb 8, 1969:
The supergroup group Blind Faith was formed, featuring Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood and Ginger Baker.
Feb 9, 1964:
The Beatles made their American live debut on CBS-TV's 'The Ed Sullivan Show'. An estimated 73 million people watched the program. The show had received over 50,000 applications for the 728 seats in the studio.
Feb 10, 1976:
Elvis Presley was made Captain in the Memphis police reserves.
Feb 11, 1963:
The Beatles record ten new songs for their first album in less than 10 hours, plus four other tracks which would be the next two singles.
Feb 12, 1967:
15 police officers raided home of Keith Richards during a weekend party. George and Pattie Harrison had been at the house, but it was said that the police waited for them to leave before they raided the house.
