This week Mick and Keith get busted, Queen is born and Brian Jones dies.
June 29th, 1967:
Mick and Keith were busted for smoking pot. Because it was Keith's house, he had more charges and faced more prison time. he faced a year in jail and an $850 fine. Mick faced 3 months and $170 fine. They were released the next day.
June 30th, 1975:
Greg Allman marries Cher just a few days after she divorced Sonny. The new couple would split 10 days later, but stay married for almost 3 years.
July 1st, 1963:
The Beatles record 'She Loves You' in a session that would last less than 2 hours. It would become the band's first single to sell a million copies.
July 2nd, 1971:
Queen's first gig featuring the line-up of Brian May, Freddie Mercury, John Deacon and Roger Taylor. The band performed at Surrey College, England.
July 3rd, 1969:
Brian Jones' body was found at the bottom of his swimming pool. He was 27. The official report from the coroner was "death by mis-adventure".
