Throwback Thursday: Celebrate Things That Turned 50 This Year

It's John Lennon's birthday today, which reminded me of the 50th anniversary of The Beatles appearing on the Ed Sullivan show, which then reminded me of my own 50th birthday a few months back, which then got me to thinking about what else turned 50 this year.

From TV shows like Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, The Munsters and The Addams Family, to movies like Goldfinger and Mary Poppins, this is quite a list of things that are 1/2 a century old. Lucky Charms, The Astrodome, GI Joe..on it goes. It's a fun stroll down memory lane.
