Throwback Thursday New Year’s Eve with Dick Clark [VIDEO]

New Year's Eve just hasn't been the same since Dick Clark left us in 2012. This ball drop from 1976 is amazing in so many ways and yes, it looks like a disco ball.

Forty years ago tonight. FORTY. Since the crowd of revelers look like extras from Welcome Back Kotter, I'd have to say that the footage is legit.

I certainly hope everyone plays it safe tonight and has a great 2016 after that. I will leave you with one of my favorite scenes from 'Forrest Gump'.
