This is great video of the snow storm that dumped a whole lot of snow in the Buffalo area of New York State this week.

Between 5-8 feet of snow have fallen in Western New York since earlier this week, and the above video is a great view of the "lake effect snow" developing and hammering the region.

I can't imagine getting 1-2 years worth of snow in a week. The "for sale" sign would be in front of my house as soon as I dug it out enough so that you could see the roof.

Although, I'm not too sure on where the warmer climate is that I would escape to. Jacksonville, Florida checked in at 29 degrees the other morning, while overnight temperatures in all 50 states Wednesday fell to freezing or lower — even in Hawaii, atop the high mountain summit of Mauna Kea on the Big Island.

Still, I'd take a winter with below average temperatures and little snow, over a winter with above average temperatures, yet a lot of snow.

Just how bad was the snowstorm that pounded Western New York this week? Watch this and see for yourself.

The lake effect storm poured more than five feet of snow down on the region. The above clip shows just how intense it was.

Yup, it's pretty wild. But at least some people are having fun with the wintry weather.
