In honor of our 'That 70's Weekend' on The Shark, here's a 1971 performance of 'One Toke Over The Line' from The Lawrence Welk Show that'll have you 'rolling' in the aisles. Apparently nobody told Mr. Welk that this song's true meaning was far more herbal than it was spiritual.

I know for a fact Barry Scott will be playing the original 'Brewer and Shipley' classic Saturday night on 'The Lost 45's' from 7-10pm and it includes an exclusive interview with none other than Michael Brewer himself.

Whether the subject of this hilarious Lawrence Welk version is going to be discussed is still a mystery at this time. I am also willing to bet that the song's subject matter was NOT a mystery to many of the younger musicians in Lawrence's orchestra.
