Go back to revolutionary times and see what it took to create the freedoms we all enjoy today.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the American Independence Festival hosted by the American Independence Museum. The event is mostly spread out over downtown and offers people a chance to see battle reenactments!

The festivities begin with a real cannon firing over Swasey Parkway at 10:00 a.m. and from there festival goers have the option to meet revolutionary characters, take part in children's activities, enjoy music, food, and peruse local arts & crafts tables.

Admission is $10 for adults, free for kids under 12 and for active duty and retired members of the military.
