UNH’s Bias-Free Language Guide Deems The Word ‘American’ ‘Problematic’
A Bias Free Language Guide has been released by the University Of New Hampshire that deems 'American' as a 'problematic' word.
There is a long list of 'problematic' words in the guide.
Some of the other terms are, 'elders,' 'rich,' 'poor,' 'homeless,' 'foreigners,' 'homosexual,' and on and on it goes.
According to the guide these words can be offensive and should not be used.
