Outside Magazine's fifth annual 'Best Town Ever 2015' competition features 64 towns across the United States and Portsmouth happens to be one of them. Help crown our seacoast jewel and vote!

The competition runs through June 4th so vote now, and vote often.

The magazine used "places with great access to trails and public lands, thriving restaurants and neighborhoods, and, of course, a good beer scene" to determine which towns made the cut. (They also eliminated previous champions and runners-up)

It's set up just like a March Madness bracket (right up my alley), with four regions: West, East, Midwest, and South. Portsmouth, obviously in the East, is a #7 seed and will take on #10 seed New Haven, CT. Meanwhile Lebanon got a #12 seed and will face Lake Placid, NY.

The #1 seed in the East? A little pot smoking town called Middlebury, VT. The other #1 seeds are Santa Barbara, CA, Ely, MN, and Chattanooga, TN.

Here's how I see it all going down:

#7 Portsmouth vs #10 New Haven, CT

Portsmouth is the favorite in this match up and rightfully so. The traffic in New Haven at all times during the day makes for an awful, awful experience. I like Portsmouth to advance easily.

#2 Bar Harbor, ME vs #7 Portsmouth

The next potential roadblock for Portsmouth would be Bar Harbor (who would easily defeat their opening round opponent Pittsburgh, PA). A strong #2 seed, Bar Harbor is a fancy little town on an island that's beautiful during the summers and has Acadia National Park in its back yard. Unfortunately, not as good a beer scene as Portsmouth. Portsmouth advances.

Portsmouth could face Northhampton, MA, Red Bank, NJ, Annapolis, MD or Cold Spring, NY in the Sweet Sixteen. I haven't been to any of these towns so I can't predict who wins.

I am a homer though, so I Iike Portsmouth to win it all!

Help make it happen, and VOTE.
