Although the brutal temperatures and feet of snow might have broken the spirit of some of us, guess who's back and stronger than ever.

Researchers who specialize in ticks and the diseases they carry, say that this harsh winter and all the snow was like being wrapped in grandma's quilt, as far as the tick is concerned.

As the weather warms up, these little devils are out searching for blood, and you or your dog are prime victims.

"the abundant snowfall could mean more ticks, but a dry spell later in the spring or summer could kill them off."

Here's the obligatory advice to be sure to check yourself and your dog after a walking the woods or fields.
