It's about time someone stood up and shouted at the top of their lungs, "Derek Jeter is NOT the best baseball player of all time" and "this year long hurricane of self promotion in the form of a retirement party has to end."

I always knew there were stats out there to help prove Jeter was average at best I just needed someone like Keith Olbermann (or his interns) to dig it up for me.

I'm not a huge Olbermann fan, in fact I couldn't tell you when he's on TV, but holy smokes did I enjoy this video.

Fish shared a video of the best moments in Boston sports history earlier today but it doesn't compare to watching Olbermann demolish Jeter. Chills on top of chills.

Here's my favorite stat:

Fans love to bring up Jeter's longevity as if staying healthy is a skill set. Sure he maintained a certain level of play for a long time, but it was nothing special.

As you can see, among 19 players who have amassed a minimum of 12,000 plate appearances, Derek Jeter ranks in the bottom third. Wah wah.

Derek Jeter will play his last game at Fenway Park this weekend. I'm sort of thankful it's ending for him with a meaningless game between two stinkaroos.

Hey Jeter...seeeeeee yaaaaa!
