Watch The Navy’s USS Detroit Get Launched [VIDEO]

They launch these $360M ships the same way I used to launch my $1 plastic boats in my bathtub.

I love watching ships this size get launched. It's always a little tense to me, and I'm sure to many of the folks in charge as well. In this instance especially.

I mean, after all, The USS Detroit. I lived there many years ago and have nothing but fond memories.But be careful when naming a ship after a city that has a history of financial and social problems.

The sea has a way of bringing out some of the worst karma. Glad to see things went well.
