Would I like to watch my favorite team, in person, at the greatest sports event in the history of the world? NO NO a thousand times NO!

I've been completely spoiled by the way football is televised these days. Seemingly 50 cameras trained on the field so you don't miss a thing. Each play replayed 3 or 4 times. And you can see it all in high definition.

I get to enjoy all of that, sit in my favorite comfortable chair, eat my favorite football food, wear my lounging loose fitting pants so I can eat all that food.

I also prefer to watch the 'Big Game' with as few people as possible, especially if my team is playing. Oh sure, I'll attend Super Bowl parties, but I make sure to sneak out before the game begins. One has to pay attention, and it's hard at a party because inevitably there will be some people there who don't care about football.

Also, if you like to be part of a communal experience, you can know that well over a million people are doing the same thing you'll be doing at the same time. Last year, 111.5 million people watched last years one-sided game between the Seahawks and the Broncos. And that number is expected to be higher this year.

Still, if going to the Super Bowl is on your bucket list, you'd better save your pennies. I've done a little research on prices to help you decide.

For Sunday's game, StubHub has tickets available any where between $4260-$5525 for 1 ticket. You'll probably need a parking pass, and that will cost $70.

I checked on Kayak to average out prices on flights, hotels, and car rentals. Flying to Arizona will cost on the average $1300 round trip per ticket, $125 car rental for the week, and local hotels near the Stadium will set you back $250 a night.

I'm not going to put a number down on food, drinks, and all the memorabilia one might have to purchase to complete the experience.

It's easy enough to do the math. One person could easily drop $10,000 for the Super Bowl experience. Also, consider this year, all the Pats fans who wanted to escape to Arizona for the whole week, and because of the snow storm might not have even left yet. Doubtful you'd get a refund.

But, to each his own. All I know is my comfortable chair and bowls of chili are looking better and better. Plus, I get to see all the great Super Bowl commercials over the years, and tear up at the Budweiser Clydesdale and doggie one all over again.
