Reports of the creepy clown phenomenon that's sweeping the nation have now made it's way to the granite state.

According to WMUR, police in Keene, Durham, and Berlin have investigated complaints about scary clowns in the area. In Durham, the report came from the UNH campus, where supposedly a clown was using a megaphone to frighten students while it walked around campus.

Thankfully the reports from UNH were harmless as compared to the one that came from Merrimack College. On Monday night North Andover, MA police issued a shelter-in-place order in response to an "armed clown" sighting. The order has since been lifted.

The only visuals we have of any of these New England pranksters is this video posted to Twitter claiming there was a sighting in Agawam, Massachusetts:

OK, that one IS scary.

Here's what Stephen King, the King of Horror, has to say about the clown hysteria:

I stand with Stephen King!
