 A memorial service is being held in Portsmouth this morning at Portsmouth City Hall.

It will take place at 8:46am, the time the first plane hit the World Trade Center in New York.

Speaking at the memorial service will be Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Merner who worked at Ground Zero for many days immediately after the attack.

If you're of mind, you’re encouraged to take a flower or bouquet of any type to lay at the foot of the 9/11 Steel Artifact.
