According to a recent analysis by Schools.com using 13 different criteria, The University of New Hampshire- Main Campus has been ranked  No. 1 for the best 4-year colleges in New Hampshire.

Here is an example criteria used:

Each school was scored on a 100-point scale using the most recent data available from government sources and based on metrics such as tuition and fees, number of degrees and certificates offered, flexibility, student services, and rates of student graduation, retention and transfer.

Below is the list of the colleges and universities that stood out in the statewide study:

  1. University of New Hampshire-Main Campus
  2. University of New Hampshire at Manchester
  3. Keene State College
  4. Plymouth State University
  5. Dartmouth College
  6. Southern New Hampshire University
  7. New England College
  8. Franklin Pierce University
  9. Rivier University
  10. Saint Anselm College

In the interest of full disclosure, I am a proud graduate of the UNH Class of 1987 so I'm a bit partial to the Durham campus.

But congrats to all the schools that made the top 10!
