Using hard data from the past 15 years, the nerds at Emory University have figured out which NFL team has the most avid, enagaged, passionate and supportive fans.

They call it the 2015 NFL Fan Equity Rankings and it was produced by the Emory Sports Marketing Analytics team.

Using statistics on fan behavior, attendance, team revenues, ticket prices, market populations, a team's success, and other factors, they were able to come up with, in their minds, the 'best' fans in the NFL.

Top 5 Best NFL Fans

1. Dallas Cowboys

2. New England Patriots

3. New York Giants

4. Balitmore Ravens

5. New York Jets

Worst 5 NFL Fans

32. Miami

31. Cleveland

30. Oakland

29. Jacksonville

28. Buffalo

To me it seems like this favors larger markets. Each year we're told by ESPN that the fans in Seattle and Kansas City are the loudest in the league. Let's not forget about the volume record fans at Arrowhead set early last year against the Patriots. Those teams are no where to be found in top of the list.

Miami coming in dead last is also a head scratcher. No arguments from the Oaklands and Jacksonvilles though. Those places stink.
