Have fun trying to get to Woodbury Ave. in Portsmouth for the next year or so!

Earlier this week, the NHDOT closed off the Woodbury Avenue Bridge to traffic. This is the bridge over US Route 1 Bypass. The planned closure is scheduled to last until November of 2019.

The existing bridge is expected to be demolished and a new bridge will be built in its place. Traffic is being detoured with plenty of signs to help commuters get where they need to be.

According to the NHDOT website: in order to allow for the demolition of the Woodbury Avenue Bridge over the US Route 1 Bypass, the US Route 1 Bypass will be closed to both northbound and southbound traffic for a 48-hour period, from Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 7:00 am until Monday, November 5th at 7:00 am.  During this time period, traffic will be detoured around the Route 1 Bypass.
