Beginning in April, Nubble Light (officially known as Cape Neddick Light Station) will be undergoing the equivalent of a make-over.

Woodwork on the exterior of the light as well as a fresh coat of paint are among the items on the 'punch list' that will begin this spring.

In an article at Fosters.com, apparently all monies used to fund this project are coming from lighthouse gift shop sale. No tax dollars are at risk.

Nubble Light is one of the most photographed lighthouses in America, maybe the world.

I've always thought about living in a lighthouse. Being the recluse that I am, it would be perfect for me.

However, one that is as picturesque as the Nubble, might not be a good call for me.
