It's almost as if it's a surprise when you see a headline say a business has "opened" instead of closed, right? Well, I'll be your positive social media blogger right now and remind you that there's still some really cool businesses opening in the city.

I do feel like their grand opening was a bit over-looked. Books-A-Million which is in the parking lot of the Maine Mall has always been the immediate go-to for book shopping, but now you

The Boot Barn South Portland

Did you even know there was a brand new (huge by the way) Boot Barn store in the parking lot across from the Maine Mall? That building typically never stays open as the same business for too long so it'll be interesting to see how long the barn lasts.

I did some research on the Boot Barn, and the story behind their boots is actually a really awesome cowboy tale. Their bio on Instagram even reads:

"For story telling throughout the West"

I haven't had a chance to romp around in here yet, but I'm super excited to. Everytime I pass it going to Target or Dick's in the next plaza I always kick myself (no pun intended) that I keep forgetting to go check out Maine's first and only Boot Barn store.
