If you drive not far off the Lewiston exit of the Maine Turnpike, through the traffic lights, and take a right, you'll find a hidden gem at 713 Webster Street.

Webber Street Convenience and Diner has everything you need in a pinch but also serves delicious food with a little something for everyone.

The Shipwreck Challenge is a massive plate of seafood that includes fried scallops, fried haddock, fried shrimp, and fried clams, served on a bed of french fries and a cup of cole slaw.

This thing is massive, and this picture doesn't do it justice.

The challenge is to eat this entire plate of seafood, french fries, and cole slaw in under an hour.

This plate goes for $120, but if you can eat it all in less than an hour, not only is your meal free, but you also go up on their Wall of Fame, and you get a t-shirt that says "I won the Webster St. Diner Shipwreck Challenge," and you get a trophy.

Only nine people have attempted the challenge, and on May 14, 2024, Shawn of the YouTube channel @basketlockerball became the first to complete the challenge in just 18 minutes and 36 seconds.

How did he do it? I have no idea. The man must have an iron gut.

I love fried seafood, but eating that much of it, in less than 20 minutes would make me never want to eat seafood again.

Take a look at how he gets the very last crumb off that plate to win.

Here are the estimated stats on everything about that meal:

Calories: 5239
Protein: 99g
Carbohydrates: 450g
Fat: 338g
Sodium: 7696mg
Sugar: 101g
Fiber: 40g
Weight 5.15lbs

I have to admit, it's tempting. Maybe I'll just stop in and have a smaller plate and take my time instead.

Congrats Shawn! You have set a record that will be hard to beat.
