DeadProof Pizza May Not Have Won The Great Food Truck Race, But New Hampshire Is Still Cheering Them On

DeadProof Pizza may not have driven away with the grand prize on Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race, but New Hampshire has every reason to be proud of what they accomplished.

Since the show began on July 26th, Granite Staters tuned in to cheer on owner Dante and his team as they competed on national television, proudly representing the state and the determination that encapsulates so many local small businesses.

Dante reflected on their whirlwind journey in a heartfelt social media post. He admitted that when Food Network first reached out, he laughed, thinking there was "no shot" a national television show would want a small New Hampshire food truck. At the time, DeadProof Pizza was still finding its footing, and he described the business as living week to week, unsure of what would come next.

"This wasn't just a competition," Dante wrote. "This was seeing what we were made of."

Out of more than 1,100 potential applicants, DeadProof Pizza was selected as one of just eight teams to compete… even though they never applied!

Leaving to film the show also meant stepping away from the business for the first time in four years, trusting his team to keep things running back home.

Although their journey eventually came to an end, Dante shared one quote that never aired on television: "We didn't lose, we're just going home."

Perhaps the most powerful part of his message came when he reminded everyone what Deadproof Pizza is really about.

“Deadproof isn't pizza, tenders, etc it's the people, it's the hospitality we show each other; it's the love and support of a community realized."

That's why this story feels bigger than a reality TV competition. DeadProof Pizza didn't just represent New Hampshire, they showcased the resilience and heart that make this state so memorable.

The competition may be over, but Deadproof Pizza's story is far from finished. Dante says, "We're just getting started." And if their motto is any indication, there are plenty more "Dope Pies and Good Vibes" ahead.
