Let's Reunite Girl with Stuffy she Lost on Hampton Beach in NH

If you are a parent you know the feeling of panic that sets in when you child loses their favorite thing. Whether that be a stuffed animal, blanket, doll, toy truck, it is the item that brings them comfort and when that thing is missing in action, no one can rest until it is found.

A mama named Jess Hope Paul posted on a few New Hampshire community groups (including New Hampshire Eats) trying to find her daughters long lost stuffed animal named Bilby. Bilby (full name Bob Bilby) is a character from the beloved kid's show Bluey, if you know you know.

Jess shared the tale and it was an emotional one. So she and her daughter headed to Hampton Beach the other night to take a little break from the heat and the hustle. Jess lost her dad back in January and her daughter wanted to touch the ocean for him. (so sweet!)

They parked and headed to the playground, you know the awesome on right across from the beach. Find me a playground with a better ocean view, I'll wait.

Then they headed over to Big Steve's for some fried dough. Then they sat at the Seashell and listened to some live music while they enjoyed their fried dough before moving on to sample some more treats.

As they were walking back to the playground Jess realized they left their dear friend Bob Bilby behind.

This particular stuffy had been with them through some pretty tough times. He was looking a little rough and definitely in need of a spa day or at least a trip to the washing machine. He even had his ears pierced (he and Jess' daughter got them done at the same time!)

It was then that their adventure turned into a bit of a rescue.. They retraced their steps and unfortunately he was no where to be found. They checked EVERYWHERE and even checked with the staff, lost and found, police etc. They left contact info but he hasn't been seen.

They searched high and low until it was too dark and Jess even went back the next morning to search again but came up empty.

Jess ended the post by saying that if anyone happened to find their little pal she would be happy to come get him/pay for postage.

The comment section of this post was so supportive and really warmed my heart. SO MANY parents came forth and said they know how it feels to lose their child's favorite stuffy and commended her for the effort she is putting in to reunite Bilby with her daughter.

Many people offered to buy Jess' daughter a replacement Bilby but unfortunately Jess' daughter would be able to sniff out that the new stand in was not her OG Bilby.
