Had I known that I would meet Robert Kraft, I would have prepared more...because this story will haunt me forever.

My wife and I were lucky to get to see Post Malone and Jelly Roll at Gillette Stadium last weekend. Although we are die-hard Patriots fans, we rarely go to Foxboro for games or concerts.

Sitting in the last row of the first section was a big deal to me... little did I know, I would see Mr. Robert Kraft walking in to watch the same concert. And again...if I knew he would be in the same section as me, I would have been more prepared.

I saw Robie (as I arrogantly called him) a mile away. I know that handsome face. And although I have met my fair share of celebrities (Thomas Rhett, Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood, etc), for some reason, I blanked on how to act around the owner of the New England Patriots.

Here is where it went south (other than me calling him Robie like an idiot).

I had a beer in my right hand. I stuck out my left hand to shake whatever hand I could of his. Here is the kicker: I don't shake hands with my left hand. No one does. It is just not something anyone has perfected.

So when I went to shake, and Mr. Robert Kraft went for a low high-five, I pretty much held his hand. How could it get worse? Well, I let go eventually, but we were already high-fiving. I could not pull back and give him another one.

Instead, I left my sopping wet hands (it was pouring, okay) against his for god knows how long. Palm to palm. No handshake. No real high-five. Just two dudes resting their palms together.
