Mountain coasters are cool. If you have never been on one before, it is like a roller coaster, but a single rider. One of the best features is that you can control the speed. Some mountain coasters will be a minute or two ride, going up to 15 or 20 miles per hour...but not the Thunder Mountain Coaster.
Best Mountain Coaster in Massachusetts: Thunder Mountain
Thunder Mountain in Charlemon, Massachusetts, is epic. The coaster can whip riders up to 30 mph - much faster than some of the other mountain coasters in New England. The coaster starts by bringing riders up the track, over 1,500 feet, according to the Berksheire East website.
After the upward lift, riders will experience 3,870 feet of a downward track with twists, turns, g-force whips, and more from this heart-pumping track.
But most coasters do some of that (not that fast or that long), but that is not even the best part...
Mountain coasters and other adrenaline-packed thrill rides are expensive. The Thunder Mountain Coaster only costs $10. So you can ride it multiple times without feeling guilty.
Bershikre East also has a zipline and other fun summer to-dos on their website.
