Remember when Tom Bergeron was unceremoniously "let go" from Dancing with the Stars on ABC after being the host from 2005-2019?  That was a shocker.  Everyone was really, really unhappy with that decision, most of all Tom himself, but now with fences mended, he's going to be a guest judge during the upcoming new season.

Tom Bergeron Refused to Say the Name of the ABC Show that Fired Him

In this interview with ABC, he said after the split with DWTS that referred to the show as "Footwork with the Famous" because he didn't want to say the name. Understandable.  He was mad and everyone else was too.

When Conrad Green, Executive Producer of DWTS, contacted Tom to propose a reconciliation with the show, that got Tom's attention. They both wanted Tom to be part of the 20th anniversary of the show and Tom suggested being a guest judge.

The other judges were there for the technical stuff, but Tom was there to comment on things like, did the dance move him, make him laugh, cry or get goosebumps.

When Tom was asked about not being afraid to offer come criticism, he said that being bashful was never his strong suit.

Remember When Tom Bergeron Hosted People are Talking in Boston, MA?

Back in the late '80's and early '90's, Tom was the host of People are Talking that filmed out of Boston, Massachusetts.  My Mother and I were guests once on a special Mother/Daughter episode to be broadcast on Mother's Day, 1992.  I remember the date and the year because I was VERY pregnant at the time with my son, Colin.
