Several Seacoast towns are making town meeting absentee ballots available Monday because of Tuesday's snowstorm.

Heavy wet snow is expected to accumulate during the day Tuesday towards a final accumulation of 8-12 inches by Wednesday morning, creating poor travel conditions.

New Hampshire law allows for voting the day before an election if a winter storm warning, blizzard warning, or ice storm warning is in effect. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for all day Tuesday.

In-person voting will still be available on Tuesday.

Among the towns offering absentee ballots:

  • Barrington -  The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
  • Exeter - The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
  • Hampton Falls - The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
  • Newington - The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
  • Newmarket - The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
  • Rye - The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
  • Stratham - The town clerk's office is open until 5 p.m.
