Tom Brady Retires From Football ‘For Good’

Tom Brady announced his retirement from pro football Wednesday morning on his social media platforms.

Facing free agency after the Super Bowl, the 45-year-old quarterback often called the "greatest of all time" said he is retiring "for good."

Sitting on a beach, Brady acknowledged his retirement and unretirement in 2022 that led to a season that was not his best with Tampa Bay, and a divorce from wife Gisele Bündchen.

"I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figure I'd press record and let you guys know first. I won't be long-winded. You only get one emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year," Brady said.

He thanked fans, family, friends, teammates, and competitors for their support and for allowing him to live "his absolute dream" as a player for the Patriots and Buccanneers.

"I wouldn't change a thing," Brady said. "I love you all."

Brady will stay in the public eye, as he has a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports as the top analyst during broadcasts.
