Bates Motel

This extremely intense and brilliantly cast horror/drama had seen a significant drop in ratings for Season 3. I was worried it would get 'hacked to pieces' come renewal time.

It's all things Red Sox today as the home town team is back at Fenway and spring has sprung again. In honor of this Boston holiday, I'm using a baseball scorecard to review the first half of this year's season of Bates Motel.

For those of you that think the subject matter of 'Bates Motel' is way too taboo or terrifying for you to enjoy without doing irreparable harm to your psyche, I am here to tell you that (although you may be correct) you're really missing out on an entertaining show. My hope is that if you click here, you will be convinced to watch tonight at 9pm.

Welp, if you're going to tell the story of a young Norman Bates growing up to become the 'Psycho' we all know and love, it wouldn't make a terrible amount of sense to quit after the second season. A&E officially renewed Vera Farmiga's Norma and Freddie Highmore's Norman for 'Bates Motel' season 3, set to open up for business in 2015.

I have become quite a fan of the A&E TV show 'Bates Motel'. So much so that I'm thinking about buying a large kitchen knife and a powdered wig to brandish and wear in public on the Monday that it airs.
