Franconia

The giant banana hanging outside Chef Joe's Catering in Franconia, New Hampshire, was stolen on May 29th. People from the community are speculating it could be the product of senior prank. Anyone with leads on the banana's whereabouts were instructed to contact the Franconia, New Hampshire, police department.

Some of these places make sense. Others...not so much.

Emily Sotelo, 20, of Westford, Massachusetts, became separated from her group at the Lafayette Place campground in Franconia Sunday, and did not return at the designated time.

New Hampshire Fish & Game said the man was hiking with his niece about a quarter mile from the summit of Mount Garfield when they called for help.

A 911 call came from the New Zealand Hut located nearly 3 miles from the Appalachian Trail and accessible only by hiking.
