The New England states are some of the most densely populated throughout the U.S. This happens to include our very own state, Massachusetts. You might expect any town throughout the New England region to have a relatively decent population. In fact, in New England, there are 236.9 people per square mile on average, which is much higher than the national average of 79.56 people per square mile. However, despite being the most populated of all the New England states, Massachusetts has a town with a population that is even less than the national average of people per square mile.
Maine, we're known for things like beautiful landscapes, coastlines, seafood and now....old people. Now, if you happen to fall in the bracket of a baby boomer, know that 70 is the new 50, and you are probably aging gracefully.
