With the news of Mr. Mac's in Manchester franchising, we decided to put our heads, and stomachs, together and came up with these seven New Hampshire restaurants that should be franchised.

The competition was difficult. As you know, there are literally hundreds of phenomenal restaurants in the Granite State we wish could go wherever we go so we had to come up with some kind of criteria.

These restaurants we feel fit a certain model that would make for a good franchise. Menus, prices, and atmosphere that would translate well in different parts of the state. Without further ado, here are seven restaurants that should be franchised.

1. Street - Portsmouth

One word: Seamita. And two more words: Curry Fries.

The eclectic international street food restaurant on Islington Street in Portsmouth is so good it will keep you coming back for more. Every item on the menu is knocked out of the park and needs to be everywhere in the state, accessible to everyone looking for a casual restaurant with flare (and tastiness).

2. Tuckaway Tavern - Raymond

Ever liked a meal so much you walked into an adjacent room and bought the meat used in it? That's what you get with the Tuckaway Tavern on Route 27 in Raymond. The butchery and tavern are both amazing and deserve to be shared with Granite Staters near and far.

3. The Gyro Spot - Manchester

The classic Greek delicacy available at The Gyro Spot on Elm St. has the perfect recipe for franchising: fresh and fast. Plus, the gyro is one of the most craveable and sought after foods and should be readily available, made by these professionals, in every county across the state.

4. The Draft - Concord

Who doesn't like a sports bar? Every town should have The Draft, like the one on Main Street in Concord.

The place has wall-to-walls TVs streaming your favorite teams nonstop, delicious food, and a robust beer list.

Whether you're looking to watch a few minutes of the game, or join some friends for nachos and a cold one, this is the spot.

5. Cristy's Pizza - Hampton

There's nothing like "beach pizza" and Cristy's at Hampton Beach is the best. Think of the people who have never experienced the delight of crispy square pizza with provolone cheese. Now think about how bad you feel for them right now. That's precisely why we need more of Cristy's.

6. Ocean Wok - Hampton

If you haven't ordered from Ocean Wok and loaded up on their one-of-kind Chinese cuisine on Christmas Eve or New Years Eve than you're just flat doing your holidays wrong.

The Ocean Boulevard landmark is packed all the time and if for nothing else, franchising would alleviate the amount of people making it easier for me to eat there.

7. Puritan Backroom - Manchester

This family run restaurant on Hooksett Road in Manchester has been serving food for nearly 100 years. Their chicken tenders are supposedly the very first to ever appear on a menu and are what brings droves of hungry travelers into their restaurant.

Everyone in the Granite State is familiar with the world famous chicken tenders, but I don't think everyone has actually tasted them. For this, I recommend Puritan Backroom be eligible for franchising.
