Snow on the ground? Who cares! It's time to get ready for some fishin'! Landlocked salmon and lake trout fishing opens April 1st and this is no April Fools joke!

The NH Fish and Game Department sent out a press release notifying folks that the fishing season is just about here!

Here is a list of the lakes where you can fish for landlocked salmon and lake trout beginning April 1st.

• Winnipesaukee
• Big Dan Hole Pond
• First and Second Connecticut Lakes
• Conway Lake
• Lake Francis
• Merrymeeting Lake
• Newfound Lake
• Ossipee Lake
• Little Squam Lake
• Winnisquam Lake
