An NYC Rockefeller Center Holiday Vibe is Coming to Salem, New Hampshire

On the grounds of what used to be the Rockingham Park race track in Salem, New Hampshire, lies an appropriately named area known as Tuscan Village. Because it truly is a small little village with apartments, restaurants, grocery stores, and shops.

In fact, you could go as far as to say it's become its own little city in Salem, which was once a quaint, small town that now has its own city feel.

Which makes the New York City Rockefeller Center Christmas vibe coming to Tuscan Village that much better (and way friendlier on the gas tank than a trip to NYC.)

Holiday Shoppes at Tuscan Village

For the first time in its brief existence, Tuscan Village (like it normally does for every season) is going above and beyond for the holiday season and creating an open-air marketplace made up of over 30 local businesses and artists, as well as featuring multiple holiday family-friendly events.

The Exchange Club of Salem Tree Market

Starting the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 25, the Exchange Club of Salem will set up its annual Tree Market across from the new Mass General Brigham Integrated Care building. The Annual Christmas Tree Sale is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Club and benefits other local nonprofits (as well as families who benefit from handpicking their Christmas Tree for the season.)

Tuscan Village Tree Lighting Ceremony

For the second consecutive year, a tree lighting ceremony will happen on the grounds of Tuscan Village surrounded by other activities for the family like face painting and live music, as well as wine sampling for the 21+ crowd.

The ceremony kicks off from 4p-6p on Saturday, December 3 with the ability to visit Santa on the grounds of Tuscan Village, and is all capped off with the owner of Tuscan Village (and the various Tuscan Brands throughout NH and Mass), Joe Faro, flipping the switch for the Tuscan Village Christmas Tree at 6p (and will be followed by dance performances and Christmas carolers.)

Also, fun fact for you. Since the Holiday Shoppes at Tuscan Village are outdoors, and New England outdoors in November and December tends to be cold -- Tuscan Village is looking out for you because Mama Faro didn't raise no fool.

Right near the Holiday Shoppes area is a warming tent where you can not only warm your outsides (duh) but also warm your insides with some signature Tuscan Village holiday cocktails -- a "Mistletoe Margarita" and a "Feliz Navidad," which is their take on an adult hot chocolate.

Go for the shopping and vibe, stay for the Christmas cocktails. According to the Tuscan Village website, the Holiday Shoppes at Tuscan Village will officially open this Friday, November 18, and be open through New Year's Eve, operating Thursday through Sunday.

Best part? For the last-minute shoppers, the Holiday Shoppes at Tuscan Village will be open every single day of Christmas week.
