Going cashless continues to be the buzz word for larger venues and attractions.  Fenway, Gillette Stadium, and Story Land are several of the biggies that are now cashless.  All say it's truly about a more seamless, smoother, quicker transition for everyone.

In reality, I'm surprised this didn't start pre-pandemic, as I know I never have cash on me.  But as it turns out, the pandemic has both people and businesses rethinking the handling of money for a number of reasons, including the cash that has traveled all over and been handled by who knows how many people.

Personally, money has always been icky to me, but I digress.

Now we can add Living Shores Aquarium to the cashless list, says General Manager Eric Dziedzic.

We made the decision to become a cashless park to benefit our guests when they come to visit Living Shores. We expect guests will experience shorter wait times at our food and retail locations thanks to this transition.

Eric says this really is a safer way to go, and that's especially crucial to them because of our pandemic.  This all starts on May 21, 2022.  However, if you prefer to carry cash or don't have a credit card, there is another option so no one feels excluded.

Eric says that as they move to a fully electronic payment system to streamline and make everything more secure, they will allow mobile payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay.  Plus, there is free access to a super user-friendly Cash to Card kiosk right at the entrance of Living Shores.

Not only can you use it to pay for your passes, but use it throughout the aquarium and bistro.
