Apple Harvest Day in Dover, New Hampshire Coming up on Saturday

Have some good old-fashioned fun with the whole family this Saturday at Apple Harvest Day in downtown Dover.

The event features over 300 vendors, food, live entertainment and typically draws more than 60,000 people into the city.

Apple Harvest Day is hosted by the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce.

Margaret Joyce is the president of the chamber and says the decision to hold the event was not taken lightly because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They worked in coordination with Dover Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Paul Haas as well as officials from the recreation and police department.

Joyce said since most activities are outdoors and there is plenty of room for social distancing, they felt like it was time to bring the beloved fall event back.

"The thing we are touting is that the festival is back and all your favorites will be there," Joyce said.

Joyce said a number of people are looking forward to running in the 5K race.

There is a free shuttle for people to take and the event is free.
