Betty White is NOT Dead, Internet Breathes Sigh of Relief

The Washington Post is reporting that beloved actress Betty White is not dead after a poorly-written headline convinced social media followers otherwise.

Satirical news website Empire News shared a story titled “Actress Betty White, 92, Dyes Peacefully In Her Los Angeles Home,” which would fool anyone not familiar with homophones.

Scores of Betty White fans freaked out without reading the story itself, which simply explained her hair color. She can currently be found on set for her show "Hot in Cleveland," not in a morgue. Our Golden Girl is still alive and well folks.
