Two new BP stations have recently opened. One on High Street near City hall, and the other is also on High Street nearer to the Tri-City Plaza. The station at 18 High Street is a repair garage with full service gas. Not many of those around these days.

According to an article in Fosters.com:

A Cumberland Farms planned for the corner of Route 108 and Blackwater Road has cleared all the permitting and regulatory hurdles and construction should begin in a few months.

Nearby the Continental Buffet & Bar, at the site of the former Yangtze Restaurant, is expected to open soon. The state Liquor Commission approved their license request and there is a "Now Hiring" sign in front of the restaurant at 509 High St.

Cafe 319 is now open just above Pub 319 in the old railroad station, and the foundation has been poured for the new Dairy Queen at Tri-City Plaza, hoping to open in May.

Somersworth has a lot to offer these days, especially as far as dining goes. The next time you find yourself in a dining rut, make Somersworth your destination!
