The pallid legged grasshopper does not bite anything other than weeds. It is also attracted to ultra-violet light which is why these swarms are occurring on The Strip during nightfall.

From all the reports I'm getting, the chilly temps of air conditioned buildings seems to be preventing the throngs of hoppers from overtaking the casino floors.

I'm very happy that I won't accidentally give a grasshopper a concussion with a pair of dice next week.

The abnormally wet winter they had in Arizona caused this phenomenon and it should clear up in a couple weeks as the hoppers continue to migrate North.

I'm on a mission to take a pallid legged selfie next week at this time.

Wish me luck!
