Now here is something you don't see every day! This black cat in Laconia, New Hampshire, has befriended a group of turkeys. (side note: did you know a group of turkeys is called a rafter? Because I didn't! Thanks Google!) They appear to be engaging in a friendly game of Follow the Leader.

Jimmy Zarta shared this video with the u Local New Hampshire Facebook page. He captioned it "Most cats bring home dead mice 🙀" I'm not sure about you, but I would much rather my cat become pals with a rafter of turkeys than bring home a dead mouse.

In all seriousness, do you think the cat likes that he/she is being followed? Do you think they feel like a trendsetter? Or do you think the cat just wishes he/she could have a solo jaunt in the yard in peace? I guess we will never know. What we do know is that humans are really liking this video. It has 3,000 likes and over 200 comments. Here are some of my favorites:

Racheal Hall: Someone else just posted turkeys following their cat in Dover! So weird

Susan Marshall: I’m the pied piper, follow me lol

Linda Chandler: That black cat must have a spell on those turkeys.....

Lauri Burnham Thompson: We're following the leader....🎼🎵🎵

Diana McKee: We had a cat that used to do this! The turkeys followed him in a straight line. We called him "Lord of the Turkeys"

I am very surprised to see that other people have seen this sight! Maybe turkeys following cats is a thing! Have you ever seen it or do you know the reason why it happens?
