According to the Brigham & Women's hospital website, they are offering The Student Success Jobs Program for high school students who are interested in a career in medicine or science.  Students are matched up with the health care professionals who can provide mentoring and be role models.

Right now, there are only eight schools in the Boston area who are recruiting students, however, if you are interested and know of a school or a student who this might work for, contact the program directly at SSJP@partners.org.

This is a fantastic program for kids here in New England.  Maybe it's my obsession with Grey's Anatomy that I am so jazzed up about it, I don't know.  It's certainly not because I have questioned my own career choices from time to time.  Only when I hear about all the people in the medical field saving lives and buying their 3rd house in Italy that I think, "I coulda been a contendah!"
