Next month, we will have another great reason to go to Boston for some winter fun.  A public ice skating rink is going to open just in time for the holidays in Boston's Fenway neighborhood.

According to a story from NECN, The Rink at 401 Park will be right next to Time Out Market and Trillium Brewery's Fenway taproom.  The Rink will have over 6,000 square feet of ice in an outdoor setting.

This place sounds SO FUN.  They are planning theme nights, which I'm hoping will involve costumes, a live DJ and skating lessons.  It will be open 7 days a week and visitors of all ages are welcome.

Can't you just picture it?  Skating in a picturesque setting with the snow lightly falling?  (In my case, I would hope not to fall on my butt)

I have gone ice skating on Boston Common and that was an absolute blast, but the Common doesn't have all these other places attached to it so you don't have to do anywhere to get a bite to eat, a mug of hot cocoa, etc.  401 Park is home to a new, vibrant development for the City.  I hope to visit soon!

Check out this video.  How can you not at least want to TRY to skate?
