The retired police officer killed by a hit-and-run driver on Route 125 in Kingston will be laid to rest on Sunday.

Kingston Police were looking for Donna Briggs, 59 on Tuesday and found her and her bicycle down an embankment along the southbound lanes. She was training for the for the Police Unity tour scheduled for October. State Police released images of the SUV they believe struck and killed Briggs taken from surveillance video.

Briggs retired from the Hudson Police Department in 2013.

She is survived by her husband Travis Briggs, three sons, a daughter and two grandchildren.

Calling hours for Briggs will be Sunday from noon until 3 p.m. at the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road in Londonderry. Funeral arrangements were not announced.
