Chairs Up, Thumbs Up to Saigon & Tokyo in Dover
It feels like decades have passed since I sat before this bowl of glorious Pho at Saigon & Tokyo on Central Ave in Dover. If you haven't been in awhile, I think you'd be a bit surprised by the surroundings.
This pho photo was taken in what was once the booth closest to the entrance. I wrote 'in what was once' because all of the booths are now gone!
Believe it or not, this remodeling happened weeks before Covid-19 changed the lives and practices of the entire world.
The booths were removed in an effort to increase table space and therefore seat more customers. My only complaint with this place was that it always was packed and many times you'd see only two people in their large booths.
Ironically, it wasn't long after the booths were removed and replaced with much more convenient tables, those tables had to be made unavailable as the restaurant went 'Take Out Only' due to state regulations.
If you've never eaten here before, you are really in for a treat. They seem to cover about half of the world's cuisine on one single menu.
And they do it well.
Aside from Saigon (Dozens of Vietnamese Rice plates and soups) and Tokyo (Wonderful sushi options and a Sushi bar that rivals my favorites in Las Vegas.) There is also a complete Chinese menu that would satisfy any fan of both Szechaun and Cantonese food.
My goal is to try everything on the menu at least once, it's a big goal, but I think I'm willing to accomplish it!
